LOOKING TO THE FUTURE: SCIENCE IN ISRAEL
As part of the ZF’s UK Science Week, we are excited to host four of Israel’s leading academics, to talk about the environment and science of the future. What will we be eating? What will our outdoors look like? What will our medicine cure? How will we be travelling from place to place? All of these questions and more will be answered by our exciting panel of experts, who will be talking about the science of tomorrow and Israel’s leading role to play in it. Shlomi Brielle B Sc (Hebrew University) - Shlomi is interested in the nano-scale and micron-scale movement of proteins and organelles in the cytoplasm of living cells.
Dr Adi Jonas-Levi (Tel Hai College) - a highly regarded and regularly published researcher, teacher and lecturer. Dr Jonas-Levi has undertaken a large amount of work and research in the area of Food Biochemistry.
Dr Hagai Shemesh (Tel Hai College) - is the recipient of numerous research grants and lectures on the area of Ecology and Biodiversity, two key topics in the changing environments we live in today.
Dr Shmulik Yedvab – Dr Yedvab is the head of the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel Mammal Department. Dr Yedvab spends much of his time giving talks about his work on Conservation, Monitoring and species re-introduction into the wild.
